Bulk Modify

You can modify the Name Servers and Contact Details of your domain names in Bulk.

Note
  • Bulk Modification feature is not supported for domain names under the following extensions:

    • .EU

    • .UK

    • .ME

    • .ASIA

    • .TEL

    • .NZ

    • .CO

  • If the domain names are Locked by MasterDedicated, they need to be first Unlocked by MasterDedicated, before you can proceed with the Bulk Modification.

  • If the domain names are Locked by you, you may proceed with the Bulk Modification without Unlocking them.

  • If the domain names are Suspended by MasterDedicated, they need to be first Unsuspended, before you can proceed with the Bulk Modification.

Instructions for Customers

Please follow the steps mentioned below to do the same:

  1. Login to your Control Panel. 1

  2. Go to Domains -> Domain Registration -> Bulk Actions -> Bulk Modify.

  3. Enter the domain names whose information you wish to modify or you can search the domain names using the Search form provided on the same page.

  4. Here you may choose to modify the Contact Details by clicking the Use Another Contact link besides the Contact you want to modify.

    This will open a page listing all the Contacts you have added so far. Details of a particular Contact can be viewed by clicking the View Details link corresponding to that Contact, which will open the Contact Details view.

    Click the Contact Id or Email Address link in order to select the Contact for your domain name. The Contact can also be selected by clicking the Use This Contact button in the Contact Details view.

    You can also add a new Contact by clicking the Add New link in the Contacts list page and then submitting the details.

    Note

    The Add Contact form supports the following, except for the Phone Number, Fax Number and Email Address fields:

    • Accented characters in case of the below Contact Types:

      • .EU Contact

      • .COOP Contact

      • .CO Contact

      If you chose another Contact for the Registrant, you may choose to use the same Contact as the Technical, Billing and Admininstrative Contacts as well, by selecting the Yes radio button besides Use the Registrant Contact information for Technical, Billing and Admin Contacts.

  5. Underneath you will find two options:

    • Select the Do not Modify Nameserver information radio button, if you do not wish to modify the Name Servers alongwith the Contact information, or

    • Select the Change the Nameserver information of all selected domain names to the below nameservers radio button, if you wish to also modify the Name Servers alongwith the Contact information.

      Mention in the boxes below, the Name Servers that you wish to set for all the selected domain names.

  6. Click Submit.

Note

At any point of time, you can add upto 2 Bulk orders. This implies that you would not be able to add another Bulk Registration / Renewal / Transfer / Modification / Lock or Unlock / Privacy Protection request, if 2 Bulk Actions are already running. You will encounter the below error message in case you try to do so:

Attention

You already have the maximum allowed number of Bulk Operations running. Please wait for at least one to complete before starting another.

You will be able to add another Bulk request, only when one of the earlier requests has been processed completely. 2

Instructions for Resellers

From the Reseller Control Panel, you can modify the Name Servers for domain names Registered by your Customers. Follow the steps mentioned below to use this facility:

  1. Login to your Control Panel. 3

  2. Go to Products -> Domain Registration -> Bulk Actions -> Bulk Modify.

  3. Enter the domain names whose information you wish to Modify or you can search the domain names using the Search form provided on the same page.

  4. Mention the Name Servers that you wish to keep for all the selected domain names and click Submit.

Note

At any point of time, you can add upto 2 Bulk orders. This implies that you would not be able to add another Bulk Registration / Renewal / Transfer / Modification / Lock or Unlock / Suspend or Unsuspend / Privacy Protection request, if 2 Bulk Actions are already running.
